About Us
Is there scientific evidence that our program works?
As a parent, pediatrician or therapist you must want to know: Does the program we are signing really does work? We put a lot of effort in research of our treatment program and already published the outcome in peer-reviewed journals:
90% of Success Rate: Four research studies published between 2008 and 2015 have shown a stable success rate at 90 % in each trial. In a recently published meta-analysis showed that our treatment program has been ranked as one of the most effective (Wilken et al., 2020). This shows our program works.
Improves Feeding behavior: Food aversion and refusal can be dramatically reduced in our process of treatment (Wilken & Bartmann, 2014, Wilken, et al., 2013). When we follow-up children for a year or longer after the treatment process, most children have established a positive relationship to food and eating (Wilken & Bartmann, 2014, Wilken, et al., 2013).
Reduces vomiting significantly: Vomiting and gagging is so stressful for infants and their parents. We could show that vomiting as well as gagging can be dramatically reduced during our treatment (Wilken, et al., 2013).
Doesn´t have a negative impact on growth: You may be concerned, that your child will fail to thrive, once the tube is removed. Through our study we observed that children in our treatment program showed a constant growth and weight gain on the next months after removing the tube (Wilken, et al., 2013).
