Home Based Intensive Weaning Treatment

The intensive weaning camp is an option that we designed for children who have a higher level of tube dependency, due to medical and psychological conditions, like massive aversive behavior and food rejection where the online support it’s not the most effective type of intervention for treatment. Also, for families who would feel more secure with a present team supervising and giving support during the weaning treatment.

With our program and treatment concept, we are pioneers in the field of outpatient tube weaning. We will focus entirely on your child individually but we will get families together for some sessions. In this way, we can accompany you individually at mealtimes between five to 10 days, we will be by your side between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. with four to five meals.

Therefore, we will work with only three children and their families per camp. Vacancies are very limited. You can check vacancies for each camp, just contact us.

These weaning camps will take place on a beautiful country that is Portugal, known for it’s natural beauty, rich history, warm weather, and welcoming culture that keeps attracting people from all over the world.

You can have all of this with lower costs comparing with other European countries, plus most members of the hospitality industry and people in general speaks English.

How to get here?

You can easily fly directly to Portugal to one of the two main cities (Oporto and Lisbon) from pretty much everywhere in Europe ,depending on the location where the weaning camp will be.

Porto is served by Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport which is located in Pedras Rubras, like 15 km to the north-west of the city centre. If you are coming from UK you can fly directly to Porto from the following UK airports: London Gatwick; London Stansted; London Luton; London Heathrow; Bristol Birmingham; Manchester; Liverpool; Edinburgh.

If you are coming from US: New York is the only city in United States with direct flights to Porto. From New York, you can fly non-stop with TAP Portugal (Star Alliance) or United Airlines (Star Alliance). The other options of flight will have stops,  The easiest way would be to fly to London, Paris,  Frankfurt  or even Lisbon, and then take a direct flight to Portugal’s second-largest city.
